Cookie jar
Meaning
The cookie jar is the browser's store of cookies, keyed by name, domain and path. Each browser profile keeps its own, so a private window starts with an empty one. On every request the browser searches the jar for cookies that match the address, drops expired ones, applies security rules and sends what remains. Sending a new Set-Cookie with the same name, domain and path replaces the stored entry. The jar can also be emptied by the user, by privacy settings or when storage is full.
